As part of the Companies Tourism 360º Programme and the ESG Ecosystem project, Turismo de Portugal and SIBS have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at creating a favourable framework for accelerating the process of incorporating ESG indicators into companies' management processes.

Under this agreement, the two entities are promoting actions aimed at streamlining the process of systematising and reporting ESG information by companies. This will be done through the operationalisation of interoperability mechanisms supported by the mutually-agreed sharing of environmental, social and governance performance data, as well as awareness-raising, capacity-building and training initiatives to enable companies to achieve sustainability faster.

The ESG transition is a goal shared by Turismo de Portugal and SIBS. This agreement will enable the implementation of new mechanisms to support the reporting of ESG information by companies, boosting their positioning at a more sustainable and responsible level of development, capable of generating more added value.

A Turismo de Portugal initiative, the Companies Tourism 360º Programme aims to put companies at the heart of the sector's sustainable transformation process. By joining this programme, companies become part of an active community that forces them to get involved in a process of cultural transformation, curation and training, with the ultimate goal of publicly recognising their efforts to implement a 360º vision in economic, social and environmental aspects.
