The Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), IAPMEI - Agência para a Competitividade e Inovação, I.P. (Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation) and Turismo de Portugal have today signed a cooperation agreement aimed at achieving common business development goals.
Promoting resources and different funding options, as well as encouraging the adoption of good environmental, social and governance practices, are some of the initiatives covered by the agreement. Within the scope of the "Market Financing Roadmap", the CMVM, IAPMEI and Turismo de Portugal are committed to meeting with companies to share information on financing through the capital markets and the CMVM's collaboration in IAPMEI and Turismo de Portugal initiatives and events.
The agreement also provides for the development of projects to support companies, aimed at training and strengthening internal governance, as well as the dissemination of important initiatives that may be undertaken jointly or individually by each of the institutions through their communication channels. In order to stimulate the sharing of knowledge between the three institutions, training activities will be organised and will include sessions dedicated to the entry process and the advantages of the capital markets for Portuguese companies.
This partnership follows on from the considerable amount of work already done in this respect and reflects the institutions’ commitment and dedication to identifying opportunities to promote further cooperation efforts aimed at business development. The signing of this agreement represents a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between institutions with relevant contact with companies. It actively contributes to informed entrepreneurship in terms of opportunities and challenges, promoting the sustainable growth of the Portuguese economy.
