All for All - Portuguese Tourism Programme

Accessible tourism

The All for All Portuguese Tourism programme seeks to mobilise the tourism industry to turn Portugal into a tourist destination for all through concerted effort.

Turismo de Portugal has launched the All for All - Portuguese Tourism Programme aimed at all entrepreneurs in the sector, with a view to mobilising them in a concerted effort to make the national tourist supply accessible.

The focus on accessibility is directly associated with the country's purpose: "Welcoming Well". By building a tourist destination accessible to all, we are responding to the needs of each one, providing a better service and attracting more tourists. It is not a question of responding to a mere niche market, but of preparing ourselves to be part of the destinations chosen by tourists with specific needs, which it is estimated that in 2020 may represent 862 million trips in Europe.

The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, the main source markets for Portugal, are the countries with the largest number of people with access needs - over 10 million in each case.

Being able to welcome all tourists - families with small children, senior citizens or people with some kind of disability, even if temporary - is therefore an important business opportunity and a competitive advantage for Portugal.
