RESTwithEU is a pilot project promoted by the European Parliament that aims to promote the development of user-centred digital innovations for SMEs in the catering industry across the European Union.
The project focuses on identifying and developing digital tools and solutions that meet the needs and diversity of the catering sector. There is a special focus on SMEs, start-ups, and European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), thus aiming to promote innovation that generates strategies for the future.
The RESTwithEU initiative aims to support and advise on the digital transformation of the catering sector through different strategies that are adapted to the needs of each business. The ultimate goal is to address the main challenges facing the catering industry and, ultimately, to help European catering SMEs adopt best practices.
The challenges faced by restaurants during the pandemic, shifting consumer behaviour, and the growing importance of technology in all areas of business have made it essential to find digital solutions that aid these companies’ management teams in operating more efficiently, therefore optimising their customers' experiences and building resilience in the face of adversity.
