The New European Bauhaus is a creative and interdisciplinary initiative that provides a meeting space for designing future ways of life, situated at the crossroads between art, culture, social inclusion, science, and technology. Its aim is to connect the European Green Deal to our living spaces and mobilise a collective effort to imagine and build a sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful/aesthetic future for our minds and souls.

This concept includes places, practices and experiences that are enriching, inspired by art and culture and that respond to needs beyond functionality, but that are also sustainable, in harmony with nature, the environment and the planet and, lastly, that are inclusive, encouraging dialogue between cultures, areas, genders, and ages. It is a bridge between the worlds of science and technology and art and culture, aiming to leverage our green and digital challenges to transform our lives for the better. It is an invitation to tackle complex social problems together, through co-creation.

By creating bridges between different backgrounds, cutting across disciplines and building on participation at all levels, the New European Bauhaus inspires a movement to facilitate and steer the transformation of our societies along three inseparable values:

_ sustainability, from climate goals to circularity, zero pollution, and biodiversity
_ aesthetics, quality of experience and style beyond functionality
_ inclusion, from valuing diversity to securing accessibility

The New European Bauhaus brings citizens, experts, businesses, and institutions together to reimagine sustainable living in Europe. In addition to creating a platform for experimentation and connection, the initiative supports positive change also by providing access to EU funding for beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive projects.
