The annual meeting of the members of ISO/TC 228 - Tourism and related Services was held in Seville from 12 to 16 June. ISO/TC 228 - Tourism and related Services is the technical committee of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) responsible for developing international standards relating to services offered by tourism service providers, including related activities, in order to provide buyers, providers and consumers of tourism services with criteria for making informed decisions.
It was in this context that Turismo de Portugal participated in the work, having taken part in the meetings of WG 13 - Sustainable Tourism and WG 15 - Accommodation, culminating in the Plenary meeting, which took place on 16 June. Among other issues, the Plenary meeting presented the activity reports of the various active Working Groups of TC 228, by the respective coordinators, what has been done in the various member countries, by the respective representatives and approved the location of the next annual meeting, which should take place in June 2024 in Marseille (France).
