Turismo de Portugal is today making available a new platform that aims to strengthen the international competitiveness of a structuring sector for the national economy, by affirming the country as an investment destination.

Invest in Tourism platform -
invest.turismodeportugal.pt -, provided for in the Reactivate Tourism | Build the Future Plan, aims to add value to a range of economic activities linked to tourism, strengthen the international reputation of national products and services and the perception of quality of the Portugal Brand. It also aims to maximise contacts with potential investors, boost recruitment processes for talent, disseminate business opportunities in tourism and create favourable environments for the birth of new tourism businesses that accelerate investment dynamics based on innovative solutions.
Available in Portuguese and English, the platform is organised into four areas - Portugal at a glance; Starting a business; Looking for an opportunity; Financing options - with information about the country, characterisation of the sector and how to start a business in Portugal, as well as success stories. There are also analyses on talent, entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainability, macroeconomics, strategy, FDI, tourism performance, investment and financing, tax benefits, residential tourism and trends, as well as information on recent deals, main transactions and openings and number of projects in pipeline.
Turismo de Portugal also has a team dedicated to this area, with the mission of supporting the investment process, in the areas of investment opportunities, financing, licensing, human resources, entrepreneurship, statistics and partnerships, also relying on the contribution of the Turismo de Portugal teams working abroad.
A wide network of partners is associated to this initiative of Turismo de Portugal, such as Abanca, Bankinter, BPI, Banco Português de Gestão, Banco Montepio, Crédito Agrícola, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Eurobic, GoParity, Novo Banco, Novo Banco dos Açores, Millennium BCP, Santander, Capital Partners, Quadrantis, Portugal Ventures and Turismo Fundos, the latter two from the Banco Português de Fomento Group.
