Turismo de Portugal has produced the Accessible Tourism Destination Management Handbook in partnership with ENAT (European Network for Accessible Tourism). This Handbook aims to support tourism managers to work on the theme of Accessibility in the development strategy of their destinations. The Handbook is easy to consult and has many national and international examples available.
The Handbook is a management tool, which provides concrete guidance on "why" and "how" managers can develop tourism destinations accessible to all. By increasing destination managers' skills on accessibility issues, not only visitors will benefit but also tourism enterprises and Portugal will become more competitive.
